Modulis receives $400,000 in financing
MONTREAL, Sept. 19, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ – Modulis, a leading Montreal-based provider of business VoIP services, is receiving $400,000 in financing intended to facilitate the development of a cloud-computing VoIP telecommunications platform. With the advent of this new technology, Modulis will be able to conquer foreign markets and offer service providers, institutions and governments a competitive solution. “The financing is provided jointly by the Business Development Bank of Canada, Investissement Québec and the National Bank,” said Adrien Laurent, President of Modulis. He added that securing this financial assistance follows nicely on the telecommunications company’s acquisition of x1Office’s VoIP division last May. The completion of this new cloud-based platform technology, specifically dedicated to telecommunications, marks the attainment of one of Modulis’s objectives: to become the benchmark in the development of turnkey VoIP services and solutions for businesses. With more than 10,000 users connected to its Asterisk-based infrastructure in North America and Europe, Modulis offers its clients undisputable expertise, products developed from state-of-the-art technology and services of the highest calibre. During its eight years as a player on the highly competitive chessboard of telecommunications, Modulis has focused unremittingly on innovation, which has enabled the company headed up by Mr. Laurent to maintain sustained growth and specialize exclusively in business VoIP services.
